Keep Cup

08 april 2010

It's the little things in life that matter, and I believe that just making a small effort or change does count. This is doubly true with my daily morning coffee.

Every weekday I take 5 from my desk and pop down to grab a 'real' coffee, I wait for it to be poured into it's paper sippy cup and off I go back to the office, blissfully unaware. Until I discovered how many litres of water (take a look wwf video) it takes to make just one of those cups, and how most of them can't really be recycled and generally aren't.

So on this note I bought myself a keepcup, the perfect barista sized reusable sippy cup!. I have been using it every day and I must admit I was a little cautious at first that it'd change the taste, but actually it's really no different. Recently my in-laws kindly sent me over a felt cup holder for Elliot, which snuggly wraps around my keepcup. So this weekend I plan taking my coffee for a test ride, and hope not to spill a drop!
